Random

I was hanging up some pictures today and I thought I would blog a little about them-as they all have a story that reminded me of people I love.

First in an autographed photo of super-star James Baker. What more do I add to that? It's worth millions.

Second is a Blue Dog. Okay-not really, but since I can not afford one I painted one. I like the bright colors in it. Bright yellow is not something I would usually use in my house.

Third is a picture given to me from several students 5 years ago. These girls made this for me as a wedding gift and I still cherish it!

Fourth is a picture of the Rutherford COunty Courthouse. A friend of mine named Gary Patrick took this picture and framed it. He gave it to me not knowing that JP works there. So we have double the appreciation of it. What a cool gift. Not to mention how talented a photographer Gary is too.

The fifth picture (if it loads) is of my neighbors house. This was the house that burned down and I slept through it. Nice.

and finally....

almost done....promise!

Here is a shot of my grouchy old owl and another of my crow. There's also a few of these sparkly spiders. I wish real spiders sparkled.
Oh! The big spider web had lights on it and is several years old. It was going in my mom's trash when it occurred to me that I could cut the lights off of it and it would looke kinda neat. Then JP suggested that I hang it IN the house instead of outside. I had not considered that. He also suggested that we slip in some photos in the web like a coark board. I have not done it yet but as soon as I have tangible pics I will try it out.

625 Maim Street, The boro

I added cheese cloth (I think?) above our laundry and pantry rooms. I already had all the crap up there and the lights (thank god connected to a switch) have been up there for 2 years too.
Jack likes the birds. I think he's convinced birds are monsters.

MAKING CHRISTMAS

These are pcis from my living room /kitchen. I love the sticks in a vase. I've seen people paint them black but I prefer them natural.

season 1 episode 2

It reallys is missing the mums. I think I will have to buy them this weekend. I have a bunch of blow spiders, cauldrons, pumpkins, etc that I am going to try and wait until October to set up. TRY being the key word.

Halloween in September

I have started decorating for Halloween, one of my families favorites holidays. I tried to wait until October 1 but I just couldn't make it. I hung up my spiders and bats today. I have a vintage plastic ghost on the porch and a few pumpkins. I added an axe I found too. Soon I will have 3 or 4 mums o add. I usually buy giant yellow mums from a lady on 231 that sells them in front of an abandoned home. I haven't see her out there yet so I may have to break down and buy some elsewhere. I like tradition. This is part one of what will likely be a 5-6 part blog.

Jack loves the camera

Jack has started posing for pics. We were in the car a few days ago and I told Jack "let's take our picture". He instantly leaned in for the shot. What a ham. The entire "lean and look sweet" look cracks me up!
