Vacation is over

This is my last week of freedom. After what feels like a month off-no complaints-we will start seeing pts on Monday. I am kinda looking forward to it. I have enjoyed every minute of down time and I think I will see about taking off Thursday or Friday.

Jean has been fairly busy at work but busier at home. We had our privacy fence installed and made a fire pit. It has take a lot of sweat and quite literally taken my fingertips. It will be a while before my hands don't feel like sand paper. Murphy enjoys the yard-but not unless we are with him. Go figure. On the other hand, the cat has loved being outside and lounging in the sun. She likes to warn her old bones.

This weekend we went to the Badem's house and her wiener dog bit me before I got IN the house. We went to Marshall and Miranda's house without incident. We had a good time at both places. Last night I had over the Physiatry Dept. We ordered a lot of coke and pizza and played Rock Band II. Dr. Newton does a mean Billy Idol (White Wedding) and Erin cover RHCP pretty well. Jill has some killer vocals and covered Journey and a song called "Round and Round"--but I don't remember who sings that one. Jill's kids were also there and they are pretty great band members too. They were far more experienced than us! Our friend James came by right in time to play one song on the drums.

Other than that-Jean's family are coming by tonight and then tomorrow I think the Sparkman's are coming.

I am going to attempt and upload some pics soon.

what??

I think I am going to like, no LOVE Physiatry.

The new Physiatry doc, Dr. Newton, should be here any minute for the first time. I have done all the preparing I know how to do and it's not to shabby. I am a preparer. The entire dept consists of me and another woman--oh yeah, the doctor too. I can't hardly fathom that.

Jack has been in trouble with daycare. Someone tried to suggest he was ADD/Autistic. I laughed my ass off. I don't want to come off as " MY child would not have a problem" type mom--because that's not reality--but I know my son and he does not fit those characteristics. Silly daycare.

We saw Monsters vs. Aliens in the theater (3-D!!!) twice with jack. He loved it both times. Clearly he's ADD, right? In fact, the other day he woke from his nap in a BAD mood and he refused EVERYTHING and EVERYBODY around. Finally I put my Mom on the phone and she pretends to be the monster "Bob" from the movie and he admits to throwing milk in the floor and to misbehaving in general. After a good laugh, we hung up and he listened the rest of the night. Jack LOVES Bob and now I have a trick!

Week after next we should have our privacy fence up! WOOOHOOOO! Not everyone is a fan of our fence--but we have to do what is best for our son.

More updates to follow soon. Don't forget to wish JP a Happy Birthday next Monday!
